CALF STRAIN
A pulled calf muscle occurs when you overstretch the muscles in the back of your lower leg as demonstrated in jumping activities or during quick changes of direction. Also called calf muscle strains, this injury can involve mild overstretching or complete tearing of the muscle.
At Right Path Podiatry we assess the pain at the outside of your foot and diagnose it. We then focus on the best prevention and treatment plan which can include a rehabilitation program, change in lifestyle, change of footwear and possibly orthotics if there is an underlying biomechanical cause.
