ARCHILLIES TENDONITIS

Achilles Tendonitis is an overuse injury of the Achilles Tendon. It most commonly occurs in runners, and in middle-aged people who play sports, such as soccer, tennis or basketball. Pain is often seen in the mid portion and/or at the insertion area into the back of the heel.

At Right Path Podiatry we assess your feet to make sure that the correct diagnosis is made. We then focus on the best prevention and treatment plan which can include rehabilitation program, changes in lifestyle, change of footwear and possibly orthotics/heel raises if there is an underlying biomechanical cause.

Specialised treatments may be recommended for more complicated chronic injuries. For example, we offer laser and shockwave therapies at our clinic.

“Jason is always so professional.
